Start/Finish Location: Nine Mile County Forest, Wausau, WI
12-hr and 30-hr Start: 6:00 a.m., Saturday, July 16
12-hr End: 6:00 p.m., Saturday, July 16
30-hr End: 12:00 p.m., Sunday, July 17

Disciplines: Flat Water Paddling, Mountain Biking, Orienteering, Road Biking, Trekking

Details:

  • 4-person coed (premier division), 3-person, 2-person, and solo
  • Unsupported
  • Limited gear list
  • Canoes provided
  • Limited to the first 200 registered racers in each race

Entry Fees:

Race fees include land use fees, maps, canoes, paddles and pfds, insurance, entry into Checkpoint Tracker Adventure Race Series, post-race food and drink, prizes, give-a-ways, and.... a weekend of racing on a brand new course!

  • 30-Hour
    • Early Registration (ends at 11:59PM on May 10, 2011): $160 / racer
    • Normal Registration (ends at 11:59PM on June 10, 2011): $175 / racer
    • Late Registration (after June 10, 2011): $195 / racer
  • 12-Hour
    • Early Registration (ends at 11:59PM on May 10, 2011): $80 / racer
    • Normal Registration (ends at 11:59PM on June 10, 2011): $90 / racer
    • Late Registration (after June 10, 2011): $100 / racer

Refund Policy

If your team is unable to race, you may sell your entry to another team, otherwise:
  • 75% refund up to May 10, 2011.
  • 50% refund up to June 24, 2011.
  • No refunds after June 24, 2011.

Checkpoint Tracker: The Stubborn Mule is a Checkpoint Tracker Event.

    Your Team MUST have created a Team profile and added The Stubborn Mule to your Team Schedule in order to earn Checkpoint Tracker points. If you have not done this by the official Start of the race YOU WILL NOT EARN POINTS. Please visit Checkpoint Tracker Adventure Racing for more information including rules and the points schedule and to register and create your Racer and Team profile.

Lodging:

  • Camping
    • Primitive camping is available at the race start/finish the nights of July 15 and 16 for a minimal fee of $5/person/night. If you are planning to camp, please email us to reserve your spot. Camping fees can be sent to 180 Adventure, LLC., 4531 E Oak Ln, Windsor, WI, 53598 or may be paid online
